Belly swelled and labor pains and a child came into this world.
Mama rocked him, held him close.
Daddy’s strong hands lifted him high.
His cry rang loud and long,
but his laughter parted clouds,
brought sunshine through.
His smile: it was that good.
nine months.
Hearts swelled and broke. A child left this world.
Now Jesus rocks him, holds him close.
The Father’s strong hands lift him high.
Our cries ring loud and long,
but we will not grieve as those who have no hope.
For a child left this world, but he waits in the next one.
And we will wait, too. Long as we have to for our long-awaited child.
His smile: it is that good.
He wore human skin for only a short time before returning to Heaven.
When we listen real close, we hear his angel wings.

Our hearts are just breaking for you. We were so amazed by the story of the celebration of Bane's life that Tori and Derek shared with us! As my dad taught from Acts 16 about Paul and Silas singing praises after being beaten and imprisoned, my mom, Tori and I could not help but think of you and Drason. I never had the chance to meet your absolutely precious little boy, but I can see that he was a happy, happy child and so incredibly loved.
